Emergency Medicine Physicians Tasks and Objectives
A graduate of Des Moines University in Iowa, John Joe Fosbinder served as a medical director and department chairman at the Sierra View District Hospital in California. John J. Fosbinder serves as a board-certified emergency medicine physician at the Bakersfield Heart Hospital.
Emergency medicine physicians represent the first line of defense in hospitals as they are the ones that treat the heavily injured right away. They assist the patients who suffered a tremendous accident or injury that cannot be postponed any second as their life could be in danger. Their objective is to treat the patients and either release them if their wound is superficial and does not require additional attention or relieve their pain, stabilize and admit them into the hospital to get help and treatment for specialists.
Emergency medicine physicians specialize in many areas of health care and medicine as they can begin treatment and surgery immediately if needed, regardless of the injury. Then, they have to decide the best step for the patient to have a big chance of survival and recovery.
