Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician Dr. John Fosbinder
After earning his doctor of osteopathic medicine from Iowa’s Des Moines University, Dr. John “Joe” Fosbinder completed an internship with an emphasis in emergency medicine and a concentrated emergency medicine residency at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan. In addition to holding board certification in emergency medicine, Dr. John J. Fosbinder is a fellow or member of several national and state medical associations, including the American Osteopathic Association and the California College of Emergency Physicians.
Over the course of a career that has spanned more than 15 years, Dr. John J. Fosbinder has practiced at several different California hospitals. Since 2007, he has served as an emergency physician with Bakersfield Heart Hospital in Bakersfield, California. He also teaches emergency medicine at the A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine.
When he isn’t working, Dr. John Joe Fosbinder is an avid outdoor sportsman who enjoys cycling and mountaineering, He also engages in the outdoor sport of adventure racing, which involves navigating and racing long distances on foot and using conveyances such as skis, bikes, and boats.
